Campaigns: Define What to Promote
Set up campaigns to tell ReddGrow about your product, configure AI behavior, and track results
A campaign is the central organizing unit in ReddGrow. It defines what you're promoting, how the AI should talk about it, and which communities and advocates to use. Everything — subreddits, drafts, advocates, karma tracking — is scoped to a campaign.
Product Information
The campaign's product section tells the AI what it's working with:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Product name | Your product's name as it should appear in comments |
| Website | Your product's URL (used sparingly and only when appropriate) |
| Description | What your product does — the more specific, the better the AI's targeting |
| Key benefits | 3–5 core value propositions the AI can weave into comments |
| Target audience | Who the product is for — helps the AI identify relevant conversations |
AI Configuration
Beyond product info, you can tune the AI's behavior per campaign:
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Tone | Overall voice: formal, conversational, technical, empathetic |
| Temperature | Controls creativity — lower is more predictable, higher is more varied |
| Custom instructions | Free-text instructions the AI follows in addition to the defaults |
| Mention frequency | How often the AI should reference your product directly vs. provide helpful context without mention |
Learned Preferences
As you approve, edit, and skip drafts, ReddGrow builds a learned preference profile for the campaign. The AI analyzes patterns in your feedback — which comment styles you kept, which you rewrote, which you rejected — and adjusts future drafts accordingly.
Over time, draft quality improves without manual tuning.
Campaign States
| State | Description |
|---|---|
| Active | Scanner is running, drafts are being generated |
| Paused | Scanner is stopped, no new drafts; existing drafts can still be reviewed |
| Archived | Campaign is read-only; historical data is preserved |
Linking Subreddits and Advocates
From the campaign detail view, you can:
- Add subreddits — trigger AI discovery or manually paste a subreddit name
- Remove subreddits — stop scanning without deleting history
- Assign advocates — select which personas can generate drafts for this campaign
- Reorder advocates — control which persona gets used most frequently
Multiple campaigns can share the same subreddits and advocates, but draft generation and karma tracking are always campaign-specific.
