Advocates: AI Persona Profiles

Create and manage advocate personas that define how AI-generated comments sound for your brand

An advocate is an AI persona profile that defines how comments are written on behalf of your brand. Each advocate has a role, a tone, and a configured relationship to your product — giving you control over the voice and character of every AI-generated comment.

What Advocates Are

Advocates represent different perspectives your brand might take when engaging on Reddit. A single campaign can have multiple advocates, each contributing a different voice:

  • A founder who speaks with domain authority about the problem your product solves
  • A customer who shares personal experience with your product
  • A community member who provides helpful advice without mentioning the product directly

Each advocate is scoped to your organization and can be assigned across multiple campaigns.

Advocate Properties

Connecting Advocates to Campaigns

Each campaign has at least one advocate assigned. When the AI scanner generates a draft, it selects an advocate from the campaign's roster and uses that advocate's profile as the persona context for the comment.

You can assign multiple advocates to a campaign to vary the voice across drafts — useful for campaigns targeting diverse subreddits where a single persona might feel out of place.

AI Auto-Generation

ReddGrow can generate advocate profiles from your campaign's product description. If you don't have personas ready, the AI will propose a set of advocates that complement your product's positioning — suggesting roles, tones, and disclosure approaches suited to your target communities.

Onboarding Flow

During initial setup, ReddGrow prompts you to create at least one advocate before your first campaign goes live. The onboarding wizard walks through:

  1. Choosing a role and tone for your primary persona
  2. Writing (or generating) a background story
  3. Configuring disclosure preferences
  4. Assigning the advocate to your first campaign

You can add, edit, or archive advocates at any time from the Advocates section of the dashboard.
