Google Integration: Search Console and Analytics for the Content Agent

Connecting Google gives the ReddGrow content agent two feeds it can't get anywhere else. Search Console tells it which queries and pages are actually earning impressions and clicks, so drafts target keywords with real signal instead of guesses. Google Analytics 4 tells it what happens after a page publishes: traffic lift, conversions, and sessions that trace back to Reddit activity. Together they close the loop between what the agent writes and what it does for your site.

Unlike the website publishing platforms, there's nothing to generate or copy here. The whole connection is a Google OAuth flow.

Requirements

• A Google account with Owner or Full user access to the Search Console property for your site
• Viewer access (or higher) to the GA4 property you want to track
• The Search Console property and GA4 property should cover the same site you're publishing content to

Connect in ReddGrow

1. Go to Settings → Integrations
2. Under Search & analytics, find the Google Marketing Platform card
3. Click Connect Google
4. A Google OAuth consent screen opens in a new tab. Sign in and grant ReddGrow access to Search Console and Analytics
5. Close the tab and return to ReddGrow. The card refreshes automatically when the browser tab regains focus
6. Pick a Search Console site from the dropdown
7. Pick a GA4 property from the dropdown
8. Click Save & sync

You can use Sync Now at any time to force an immediate refresh once both properties are selected.

Data sync

After you save your site and property selections, ReddGrow backfills roughly 90 days of history, which usually finishes within a minute. After that, both Search Console and Analytics data sync automatically once a day. The card shows the last synced time for each source.

Disconnect behavior

Click Disconnect on the Google card to revoke access. This immediately stops syncing both Search Console and Analytics data. Your existing historical data isn't deleted, but nothing new comes in until you reconnect and re-select a site and property.

Troubleshooting

My site doesn't show up in the Search Console dropdown

You need to be added as an Owner or Full user on that exact property inside Search Console itself, not just in ReddGrow. Google, not ReddGrow, controls this list. Add yourself in Search Console settings and reconnect.

My GA4 property is missing from the list

Confirm you have at least Viewer access to the property in the Google Analytics admin panel. Access changes in GA4 can take a few minutes to propagate before they show up in ReddGrow.

The card still shows "not connected" after I granted access

ReddGrow refetches connection status when the browser tab regains focus. If it doesn't update automatically, switch back to the ReddGrow tab manually or refresh the page.

No data is showing up after Save & sync

The initial backfill can take up to a minute. If it's been longer, click Sync Now. Ongoing syncs run once daily, so day-to-day changes may take up to 24 hours to appear.
